Jenkins VFW Post 3839 recognized POW/MIA Recognition Day on Friday, Sept. 20.

Auxiliary Patriotic Instructor Rosie Bubendorf gave a short program, accompanied by the VFW Color Guard and the Auxiliary Color Guard.

Her presentation included the history of the observance and the efforts being made to bring Prisoners of War and Missing in Action home. Bubendorf also shared the origination and design of the POW flag.
