On Monday, Sept. 30, Crosslake Community School (CCS) students visited the Dahlke farm in Fifty Lakes to harvest pumpkins and learn about the farm.

Every year the students plant pumpkins at the Dahlke farm and then harvest them in the fall. The pumpkins are sold outside the school for a fundraiser.

In addition to gathering pumpkins, students also got to explore a hay bale maze created by the Dahlkes and other CCS parent volunteers. The maze included pumpkin-head scarecrows, tunnels, balancing beams and decorations.

Students got to pet horses, learn about farm equipment and eat a snack.
