Mounted Eagles, Inc. will hold its annual Walk-N-Roll fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 7, on the Paul Bunyan Trail from Pequot Lakes to Nisswa.
Walkers, runners, bikers, Rollerbladers, skateboarders, wheelchair users and strollers are invited to start at the Pequot Lakes chamber building for a six-mile route along the Paul Bunyan Trail, ending at the Nisswa Community Center.
Registration will begin at 2 p.m. and the walk will begin at 3 p.m. Participants ages 9 and older need to raise a minimum pledge amount of $25; those ages 8 and younger are welcome to walk without collecting pledges.
All walk participants and the general public are invited to an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, silent auction and live music at the Nisswa Community Center. Dinner will be served from 3-6:30 p.m.
Cost is $8 for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and younger.
Mounted Eagles is a PATH-accredited therapeutic horsemanship program and has been providing services to adults and children with disabilities since 1992. The program is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving individuals who live in Aitkin, Cass, Crow Wing, Mille Lacs, Morrison and Todd counties.
