State Patrol troopers will partner with area law officers to conduct extra patrols and traffic control surrounding the NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway on Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 15–17.
This enforcement project will accompany a larger scale, statewide DWI enforcement and education campaign running Aug. 16 through Labor Day.
All people are encouraged to report drivers believed to be impaired by calling 911.
The State Patrol will have its mobile breath testing/impaired driving vehicle stationed at the front entrance area of the race track to assist any officers with preliminary segments of the impaired driver arrest process.
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will have special enforcement teams in the area, to include the targeting of ATV operation.
