A sculpture park sponsored by the Northwoods Arts Council is on display at Hackensack City Park near the Paul Bunyan Trail.
The five sculptures, created by Minnesota artists, will be displayed through Labor Day weekend. The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite sculpture. Two ballot boxes are available, one near the boat ramp and the other inside the Hackensack chamber building. The artist who wins the vote will receive a cash prize to be awarded on Labor Day weekend. The sculptures are also for sale with contact information on the sculpture.
The sculptures include: “El Toro” by Chris Gastafson of Watkins; “Tool Shed” by Al Belleveau of Bemidji; “Stegaplow” and “Fertile Flight” by Tim Cassidy of New York Mills; and “Screw Tail Bass” by Andy Arend of Rochester.
