The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the 3-year-old boy who drowned Monday, June 10, in Edna Lake in Nisswa.
Sheriff Todd Dahl said Linden Halverson was at his home when he drowned June 10. The department reported foul play is not suspected, but the county attorney will review the case. Crow Wing County Attorney Don Ryan said Tuesday, June 18, that he had not yet reviewed materials on the case.
According to a news release, the department received a report at approximately 6:25 p.m. June 10 of an unresponsive 3-year-old boy found in Edna Lake. The boy was located near the shoreline by family members. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dahl did not report any other information on the incident.
