Molly Zins, executive director of the Central Regional Sustainable Development Partnership (CRSDP), and Ben Lundeen of the Brainerd office of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), will speak at the annual meeting of the Pine River Watershed Alliance at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at the Ideal Community Center.
Their talks will follow a brief business meeting.
Zins will talk about the CRSDP, which is part of the University of Minnesota and funded by the state Legislature. Its mission is to support sustainable development throughout greater Minnesota in the areas of agriculture and food systems, clean energy, tourism and resilient communities, and natural resources by fostering community-university partnerships involving education, research and outreach.
Lundeen will talk about biological data and early assessments from the MPCA Pine River Watershed Project.
The event is free to the public with refreshments served.
