The Fifty Lakes Foundation meeting of Friday, June 21, will feature a presentation by Terry Mejdrich, a science columnist for the Grand Rapids Herald Review.
Mejdrich will speak on climate change and significant geologic events. He will offer some insight into why the last two winter/spring seasons, 2011-12 and 2012-13, have been near polar opposites, and why these events have a common link.
Terry Mejdrich is a life-long resident of northern Minnesota. He graduated from Bemidji State University with math and earth/space science degrees. He was been a teacher, lumberjack, sawmill operator, and a writer, having written and published five books.
The meeting will be at the clubhouse of the Fifty Lakes Foundation, which is located at 40554 South Eagle Lake Road (northeast corner of the Crow Wing County Road 1 and County Road 3 intersection in Fifty Lakes). There is a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. The speaking program begins at 7 p.m. Guests are welcome.
