Third- and fourth-graders at Eagle View Elementary School performed their spring concert Thursday, April 25, themed “Fifty Nifty United States,” under the direction of music teacher Mrs. Nick.

Each song had a state theme, including a Minnesota song, southern folk song and others. In one song, students recited the names of all 50 states.

In addition to singing, some students performed a hula dance to “The Hukilau Song” and instruments were a part of the performance.

Several students played xylophones, some played the spoons, hit tambourines or played slide whistles and one student, Vinnie Sposito, accompanied his classmates by playing guitar to “My Home’s in Montana.”
