Local DFLers met Saturday, April 27, at the Senate District 10 DFL Convention at Crosby-Ironton High School.
The meeting was open to guests, but only delegates who were elected at precinct caucuses in February 2012 were allowed to vote.
The main business of the convention was the provisional endorsement of candidates for House Districts 10A and 10B. Rep. John Ward, DFL-Baxter, received provisional endorsement by the delegates for 10A and Rep. Joe Radinovich, DFL-Crosby, received provisional endorsement by the delegates for 10B.
The provisional endorsements expire Dec. 31. Final endorsements for the 2014 election will be made by the 2014 convention.
The convention also elected officers, who will each serve two-year terms. Bob Nesheim was elected chair and Shirley Pick was re-elected vice chair. The convention elected Elijah Albrecht as secretary. Bill Pick was elected to fill the new position of outreach and inclusion officer. Anna Yakle was re-elected treasurer.
Board directors are elected to two-year terms in even years.
