Posted: April 23, 2013 - 4:49pm

Sunshine Kitchen Moonshine Lounge in Brainerd is partnering with Lutheran Social Service (LSS) to help end youth homelessness in Minnesota through a fundraiser called A Couch is Not a Home at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Sunshine Kitchen Moonshine Lounge at 723 Mill Ave.

The event will include a silent auction, food and live music performed by area musician Andy Cook.

LSS is a lifeline for at-risk youth ages 16 to 21 by providing life skills classes, peer support groups and transitional housing assistance. LSS staff offers emotional support while connecting youth to safe shelter and help with immediate basic needs, such as food, clothing, hygiene supplies, bus tokens and first aid supplies.
