The Breezy Point City Council met Tuesday, Jan. 22, to discuss potential road improvements and maintenance.
Draft minutes show discussion included maintaining existing roads, how to finance other road and sewer improvements and assess the benefits fairly, setting priorities and developing an overall plan of improvements needed.
The council discussed revisiting the comprehensive plan to see if it needs updates, and discussed improving roads within the shoreland setback and targeting sewer projects for expansion.
City administrator Joe Rudberg said by phone that discussion at the meeting was broad, and the council plans to meet again to discuss roads after more information is gathered, though a date is not yet set for that meeting. No formal decisions were made at the Jan. 22 meeting.
