Ticket sales for the Catholic United Financial 2013 Catholic Schools Raffle, which provides Catholic schools the chance to raise money and keep 100 percent of the revenue, will run now through March 1.
Students and families from participating schools in Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota will sell raffle tickets for $5 a piece. The schools will use the proceeds for everything from school supplies to computers to field trips and more. This year’s raffle will include 83 schools and more than 17,000 participating students.
The tickets give buyers a chance at more than $55,000 in raffle prizes, all provided at no cost to the schools by Catholic United Financial. Included are a 2013 Ford Escape SUV or $25,000, 2014 Super Bowl tickets, a Caribbean cruise vacation, Minnesota Twins suite tickets (donated by Hubbard Radio), iPads, digital cameras, Kindle Fire tablets, gift cards and more.
See official rules at www.catholicunited.org/links/raffle.
The prize drawing ceremony March 14 will be broadcast live on Catholic United’s website beginning at 11 a.m.
Catholic United announced a $750,000 goal for 2013. Since Catholic United pays all expenses, schools get to keep every cent of each $5 ticket sold. The raffle has raised more than $1 million for Catholic schools since 2009.
