Who represents me?
As a result of the 2010 U.S. census, U.S. congressional and state legislative district boundaries were redrawn for more fair representation.
The Minnesota Legislature will convene Tuesday, Jan. 8, in St. Paul. Following are lakes area legislative districts and the legislators representing you in those districts:
Senate District 5
Sen. Tom Saxhaug, DFL-Grand Rapids
Northern half of Cass and parts of Itasca and Beltrami counties.
House District 5B
Rep. Tom Anzelc, DFL-Balsam Township
Includes Pine River, Backus and Chickamaw Beach; and McKinley, Bull Moose, Barclay, Deerfield, Pine River, Powers and Ponto Lake townships in Cass County, as well as other parts of Cass and Itasca counties.
Senate District 9
Sen. Paul Gazelka, R-Cass County
Parts of Cass, Wadena, Todd and Morrison counties.
House District 9A
Rep.-elect Mark Anderson, R-Lake Shore
Includes East Gull Lake, Lake Shore and Fairview, Home Brook, Loon Lake, Wilson, Walden and Bungo townships in Cass County, as well as parts of Wadena and Todd counties.
