U.S. foreign policy update offered Jan. 21 in Crosby

Tom Hanson will return to Crosby to explore foreign policy development, trends and challenges faced by the United States during the run-up to and aftermath of the 2012 elections and in the upcoming year.

The Great Decisions presentation will be from 1-3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Heartwood Senior Center as a program of Unlimited Learning.

Hanson serves as diplomat in residence at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, is a member of Great Decisions advisory committee and board member of Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights, US Foundation.

He is a former U.S. Foreign Service Officer who assisted in the opening of new U.S. Embassies in Mongolia and Estonia, and served as director for NATO and European Affairs at the Atlantic Council of the U.S. in Washington, D.C.

This annual event is open to the general public and there is no fee.
