Contingent upon receipt of federal appropriation, the Cass County Emergency Food and Shelter local board will allocate funds for emergency food and shelter programs in Cass County for the Phase 30 grant period, which extends through the entirety of the 2012 calendar year.
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program funding is open to all organizations helping hungry and homeless people. The funds must be used to supplement feeding and sheltering, including transitional sheltering, and rent/mortgage and utility assistance efforts only.
The deadline for organizations to apply for Cass County, local jurisdiction, federal funds under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program is Friday, Jan. 25.
