My collection of cookbooks continues to grow. At last count I had more than four dozen books, which does not include the dozens of cooking magazines and torn out recipes from newspapers that are in three-ring binders.
Add to that the emails I receive on a daily basis and you’d think I’d have enough recipes to last a lifetime, which in reality I probably do.
Still, I constantly come across new recipes from family, friends and, of course, social media. When browsing around facebook.com I have come across several interesting recipes. I know quite a few people who are not on Facebook or who very seldom go out to check what’s going on in the online social realm, so I’ve picked out a few recipes that I have tried and thought were quite good.
Most of these recipes seem to float around from person to person and at times it’s difficult to figure out where the original recipe came from. But as with most recipes I’ve tried, I have amended them a bit and they are “new and improved” versions from the original recipe.
There are many more recipes my friends have posted, but these are a few of my favorites. The Slow Cooker Beef Stew and Loaded Chicken and Potatoes make not only great meals, but are also fantastic for leftovers.
If you’re looking for a good tailgating dish, try the Bacon Wrapped Smokies. And the Starbucks Lemon Loaf is as good as it sounds.
