Well-known Crosslake post office worker Lillian Miller retired.

The Pequot Lakes area Cub Scout Den recently held derby races. David Kennedy, Bobby Hensley, Ricky Swenson, Bill Ruttger, Mark Johnson and Larry Dirkson were among the participants.

30 years ago, Feb. 9, 1984

Longtime Nisswa residents Lou Luffey, Al Luffey and Marie Bond will be the grand marshals for the 12th annual Nisswa Winter Jubilee Parade.

Senior forward Tim Falls scored 26 points and Troy Sergent pulled down 17 rebounds to lead the Pequot Lakes Indians to a 56-46 win over the Pine River Tigers.
