75 years ago, Jan. 20, 1939

An oddity dating back some 40 years or more was found in the basement of the Hill Hardware Store the other day. It is a buckshot dispenser and has five compartments for size shot and has an outlet at the bottom of each, for measuring the amount needed.

50 years ago, Jan. 17, 1964

A prize-winning color photo, taken by Alan Johnson of Pine River, will appear in the Minneapolis Tribune’s Sunday Picture Magazine Jan. 19.
