The Creation Care Team at Lutheran Church of the Cross (LCC), Nisswa, invites everyone to attend the Fall Harvest Potluck at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the church Celebration Center.
Following the potluck there will be a special presentation by Bishop Tom Aitkin, bishop of the Northeastern Minnesota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. His presentation will emphasize the importance of taking care of God’s creation. More than a dozen door prizes will be offered throughout the evening, including one year free garden plot ($20 value), various Jerry Raedeke works of art and glassware, LCC stainless steel water bottles and hand-crafted articles by local artists.
This will be the first opportunity to sign up for a 2014 plot in the LCC Community Garden. Plots are available to all members of the community.
Bring a dish to share using locally grown fruits and vegetables. A freewill offering will be taken to offset the cost of the programming.
