Mike Turner will perform at the 9 and 10:15 a.m. worship services Sunday, Aug. 25, at Christ Community Church in Nisswa.
Turner will be part of The Awakening 2013, featuring worship, preaching and ministry at 6:30 p.m. Friday-Sunday, Aug. 23-25, in the big white tent between Target and Bodyworks on Highway 371 in Baxter.
The entrance and parking will be off Golf Course Drive behind Target.
Turner has traveled worldwide as a missionary gospel singer for more than 20 years performing more than 5,000 concerts throughout America and foreign countries and serving Christian churches of all denominations as well as public events and community concerts.
Turner, known as “The Banjo Man,” is a virtuoso of the acoustic guitar and five-string banjo. He has had a long history of song writing and recording in Nashville, Tenn., releasing more than 250 songs on 25 CDs. He has received numerous awards and performed with many legendary artists from The Grand Ole Opry as well as Branson, Mo. Turner performs world famous hymns, traditional gospel songs, original songs of inspiration and instrumentals.
