Dutch elm disease has been discovered at two locations on Ossawinnamakee Lake.

The Whitefish Yacht Club picnic will be held at Manhattan Beach Lodge on July 14. The picnic will begin with the official yacht club regatta race, which will go through the Whitefish and Trout Lake Narrows.

Pequot Lakes band director, Vicki Haack, resigned. She was the third band director for the school in the last two years.

Miss Pequot Lakes Heidi Bost and Miss Crosslake Helen Eagle will participate with other upper Midwest queens as a part of the 1983 Minneapolis Aquatennial’s gala celebration.
