The Arthritis Walk-Northern Lakes will take place Saturday, May 18, at the Paul Bunyan Trailhead in Baxter.
This year’s honoree is Zoe Cervantez, 6, who has been living with arthritis for four years.
At age 2, Zoe had a swollen and painful knee and difficulty crawling. Nearly one year later, after numerous doctor visits, Zoe was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
Zoe’s family is still working with rheumatologists to determine the best treatment plan.
The walk will take place at 10 a.m. and registration will open at 9 a.m. For more information, contact Jennifer Hagerman at 651-229-5373 at the Arthritis Foundation.
