A benefit for Jackson Fredrick Coverdale-Ukura will be held from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at T.J.’s Log Cabin at 320 S. Seventh St. in Brainerd.
The event will feature food, silent auction and live music by King’s Ransom, The BeeTKeepers and more. Suggested donation is $10 per adult and $6 per child.
Jackson, the son of Sienna Coverdale-Ukura and grandson of Terrie Ukura and Mark Ukura, all of Brainerd, was born Christmas morning in Crosby and airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis that evening. Jackson was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Shone’s Heart Complex. He has already undergone two open heart surgeries and is expected to have several more before he can receive a heart valve replacement.
