Dr. Marcy Byrns, internal medicine, Essentia Health-Brainerd Clinic, was the featured speaker at the Nisswa Women’s Club monthly membership meeting Feb. 21. Byrns’ program, “For Women Only: Caring for Ourselves,” focused on arthritis treatments and cardiovascular disease symptoms and treatments. She noted that cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death for both women and men in this country.
