Community Conversations on Mental Health event set in Brainerd

Posted: October 1, 2013 - 5:30pm

NAMI Minnesota, in collaboration with its local affiliates, the Make-it-OK campaign and area mental health centers, will host more than 15 Community Conversations on Mental Health around the state this fall to get people talking about mental health and how to better address the needs of children and adults living with mental illnesses and their families.

The majority of these free events are taking place during Mental Illness Awareness Week, Oct. 6-12, including from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Lecture Hall at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.

The Community Conversations include a speaker sharing a personal story about living with mental illness and recovery or a presentation on mental illness awareness, followed by a community conversation with participants.
