Good Samaritan Society-Pine River is celebrating National Nursing Home Week May 12-18. The recognized week is meant to encourage the community to visit a loved one, friend or neighbor residing in a facility.
It is also an important time to show respect for all that long-term care residents have given to society and serve as a reminder of the role staff and families have in caring for residents as a team.
“National Nursing Home Week is a good time to remember it takes many people to provide quality care to the residents living in our local long-term care facilities,” said Pine River administrator Karen Prososki. “Our staff exhibit amazing love, care and dedication every day. We are so grateful for them and our wonderful community volunteers and family who truly make caring for residents a partnership.”
The week of activities kicked off Sunday, May 12, with a Mother’s Day tea at the Pine River campus.
The Good Samaritan Society-Pine River campus consists of a Care and Rehabilitation Center, Therapy Center, Assisted Living, Home Care, Hospice and Senior Living Apartments.
