Members of Grace United Methodist Church in Pequot Lakes will be making a pilgrimage of sorts during the six weeks of Lent.
Inspired by passages in the scriptures that talk about the journeys, roads and pathways of life, we will make our “way” together on Sunday mornings as we worship at 9 a.m. The movie “The Way” will give inspiration as we go on a buen camino. On Sunday, March 3, communion will be served at a table of hospitality where all are welcome to participate.
Wednesday evenings during Lent will begin with a soup supper at 6 p.m. followed by a study and discussion of Adam Hamilton’s book “The Way” at 6:45 p.m. This study follows in the footsteps of Jesus from his baptism, to the temptations, to the parables, to the healing he brought. It will be another opportunity to help one another walk a road that will draw us closer to Jesus.
Community members are welcome to join the Grace congregation for these Lenten activities. Call the church at 218-568-5755 for more information.
