Though delayed for a week, the annual Jenkins Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 13, included horse-drawn carriage rides, a bonfire, cocoa and hot dogs.
The annual event was originally planned for Dec. 6, but was postponed because of below-zero temperatures that day.
Residents and friends gathered around a blazing bonfire in Veteran’s Park where the tree lighting was held this year. Christmas lights adorned the park’s fence and shelter, where hot dogs, hot apple cider and cocoa were on-hand for guests.
A horse-drawn carriage pulled visitors, singing Christmas carols along the way, through town.
