Children ages 4-6 spent last week learning all about safety at the annual Safety Kids event held each morning Tuesday-Friday, May 28-31, at The Trailside Center at Pequot Lakes Baptist Church.

Teachers, police officers, community resource people and volunteer teen instructors worked daily to develop healthy, safe attitudes in children. Children learned about various aspects of safety through classroom activities, songs and videos.

They practiced pedestrian skills and experienced “real life” situations by driving tot-sized vehicles through a miniature city layout complete with city blocks, buildings and stop signs.
