Pequot Lakes, Crosslake and Nisswa area churches hosted the second annual Boys’ Night Out on Friday, April 12, at the Trailside Center at Pequot Lakes Baptist Church.
This was a fun event for boys in grades 1-5 with the sole purpose of encouraging each other and sharing the love of Christ. Approximately 75 boys participated along with around 25 hardworking volunteers.
This year’s theme was “Survivor” with representation from the DNR and National Guard. The boys enjoyed a presentation by DNR Conservation Officer Mike Lee from the Crosslake station on outdoor survival safety, where each boy received a survival kit.
An event highlight was the inflatable from the Minnesota Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion. The inflatable was a great platform to introduce the benefits and services that the National Guard provides.
The night ended with a presentation by Clint Evans from Grace United Methodist Church in Pequot Lakes where he encouraged the boys to develop a personal relationship with God.
Organizers thank the volunteers and local businesses that helped make the event possible.
