While the parade didn’t happen until 5 p.m., the Pine River Parade of Lights Day was an all-day affair.
The annual event began Saturday, Dec. 14, with horse-drawn wagon rides, alpacas on display and a visit from Santa at the Pine River American Legion. The day progressed with a chilly parade on Barclay Avenue, a bonfire at the Pine River Information Center and fireworks to top off the night.
The Paws and Claws 4-H Club parade float won best use of lights in the theme category, while the Waste Partners parade float won the best overall use of lights category.
More than 100 children visited Santa during his visit to the Pine River American Legion.
