Pequot Lakes Community Theater (PLCT) announces the cast and production crew for the musical “Oliver!”
Based on the book “Oliver Twist” by Charles Dickens, the musical follows the story of little Oliver from the orphanage to the funeral parlor all the way to the streets of London. The show includes many memorable songs like “Food, Glorious Food,” “Consider Yourself” and “I’d Do Anything.”
“Oliver!” is directed by Gary Hirsch, choreography is by Wendy DeGeest, vocal director is Lauren Nickisch, set designer is Tim Leagjeld, costume designer is Esther Endicott and technical director is Mark Oehrlein.
The cast includes Elaina Tanner as Oliver, Dave Endicott as Mr. Bumble, Nancy Waller as the Widow Corney, C.J. Anderson and Lauren Nickisch as Mr. and Mrs. Sowerberry, Jennifer Kiffmeyer as Nancy, Charlie Cook as Fagin, Kevin Yeager as Bill Sykes, Peter Herzog as Mr. Brownlow and Barb McColgan as Mrs. Bedwin.
The group of orphans includes Cole Kaneski, Brandon Wallin, Meadow Christensen, Emily Espeseth, Morena Hammer, Veronica Hulke, Hunter Johnson, Tabitha Kibwaa, Ally Klomp, David Maschhoff, Anna Sechser, Cecilia Sechser, Maddie Severson, Ali Sommerness, Emma Stokman, Kamber Tanner, James Thompson, Breanna Rhodes and Lilly Jorgens.
The singing and dancing chorus includes Jana Johnson, Susan Mathison-Young, Sharon Hartley, Joy Ciaffoni, Isabel Cook, Sophia Drake, Mercedes Engren, Emma Fitch, Arielle Roubal, Margaret Thompson, Madison Welte, Deb Binda, Joy Kibwaa, Gary Binda, Charles Heuberger, Eddie Binda, Nate French, Craig Friday, Jack Friday, Matt Hansen, Jace Leabo, Anthony Ly and Gabriel McBride.
The cast of more than 50 men, women and children are rehearsing to open the show for public performances Friday, Nov. 15. Additional performances are scheduled Nov. 15-17 and 22-24. Friday and Saturday shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinee shows will begin at 2 p.m. All performances will be on stage in the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium at 30805 Olson St. in Pequot Lakes. Tickets for any of the “Oliver!” performances may be reserved by calling 218-568-9200 or purchased at the door starting one hour before each show. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (age 60 and older) and $8 for youth (age 18 and younger). Tickets are for general admission seating.
