The Cass County Historical Society will host a 100th birthday party for Huset School from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at the school, located next to the Cass County Museum.
The event is free and open to the public. It will include teacher and student portrayals beginning at 1 p.m. along with a sing-along with the pump organ. There will be a spelling bee. Cake and lemonade will be served.
The one-room schoolhouse originally served the pioneer community of Boy River until 1937. The school features a wood-burning stove. The school was relocated next to the Cass County Museum in 1968.
