Mary Baumann, deli manager at Schaefer’s Foods in Nisswa, has been offering cooking classes for two years that focus on healthy and nutritional meals.
Watch as Baumann prepares the meals in front of you, plus enjoy a sample of every dish and take home the recipes. The final classes of the spring session will be April 9, April 18 and May 2.
The Tuesday, April 9, class will focus on spring vegetables. These recipes will include vegetables at their peak during spring, including spinach, peas, asparagus, new potatoes and vidalia onions.

The final class of the spring session will be Thursday, May 2, where you will get ready for summer with Baumann’s selections of picnic salad and burger recipes.
Classes are held at Schaefer’s Foods in the sit-down deli area at 7 p.m. Class fee is $18 per person. For more information or to register, stop by the deli or call 963-2265. Registration and payment are required 48 hours prior to the class. No refunds allowed.
