The 41st annual Nisswa Winter Jubilee will run Friday-Sunday, Feb. 15-17, presented by the Brainerd Lakes Area Lions.
The theme is Candyland Edition. The annual parade will be at noon Saturday on Main Street.
Following is a schedule of events:
Friday, Feb. 15
2 p.m.: Medallion Hunt featuring $200 cash prize. Clue No. 1 of 3 will be posted at Martin’s Sports Shop downtown.
4 p.m.: Meat raffle at the Nisswa American Legion.
7 p.m.: Miss Nisswa Scholarship Pageant, Lutheran Church of the Cross.
8 p.m.-midnight: Live band DB3 at Ye Old Pickle Factory.
Saturday, Feb. 16
8:30-11:30 a.m.: Pancake breakfast at the Nisswa Community Center.
10 a.m.: Medallion Hunt featuring $200 cash prize. Clue No. 2 of 3 posted at Nature’s Touch Gifts downtown.
10 a.m.: Snow sculpture judging. Sign up at the Triangle gas station in Nisswa.
10 a.m.-3 p.m.: Eats and treats around town.
10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.: Mini Jubilee at Nisswa Elementary School, hosted by the Black Bear 4-H Club. A Candyland quilt will be on display, provided by Mother Originals Quilt Shop.
10:30-11:30 a.m.: Storytelling at Turtle Town Books & Gifts on Main Street.
Noon: Parade down Main Street.
1 p.m.: Paul Bunyan storytelling at the gazebo.
1 p.m.: Medallion Hunt featuring $200 cash prize. Clue No. 3 of 3 posted at The Urban Accent in Nisswa Square.
1 p.m.: Wood-splitting contest at the turtle track. Sign up at the Triangle gas station in Nisswa.
1:30 p.m.: Parent Iditarod next to the Pickle. Sign up at the Lakes Area Lions Food Booth at the Pickle.
1:30 p.m.: Volleyball tournament. Gather outside the Pickle.
2-4 p.m.: Kids craft time at the Nisswa Chamber Office in Nisswa Square.
3 p.m.: Paul Bunyan storytelling at the gazebo.
4 p.m.: Meat raffle at the Nisswa American Legion.
7:30 p.m.-midnight: Live band Decade 7 at Legion. 2013 Jubilee button needed to get in. Buttons are $5 at the chamber, Pickle and Legion.
Sunday, Feb. 17
Noon-2 p.m.: Nisswa Fire Department’s Ice Fishing Derby on Nisswa Lake. Cost: $5 per hole. Minnows will be available. Raffle tickets will be sold.
4 p.m.: Jam session with live band Decade 7 at Nisswa American Legion. 2013 Jubilee button needed to get in. Buttons are $5 at the chamber, Pickle and Legion.
