Candace Simar and her sister, Angela F. Foster, co-authors of “Farm Girls,” will present a reading and book signing from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Book World in Baxter.
A reading is scheduled at 12:30 p.m.
“Farm Girls,” published in January by RiverPlace Press, is a book of stories and reflections of two sisters growing up on a family farm.
Simar, a writer and poet from Pequot Lakes, carries a passion for Minnesota history and her Scandinavian heritage. She is the author of the “Abercrombie Trail” series novels, including “Birdie,” winner of the 2012 Western Writers of America Spur Award.
Foster, a poet and memoirist, teaches creative writing at The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis and is a freelance editor. She lives on a farm in rural Pine City.
