The Crosslake City Council on Monday, Nov. 18, approved a request from two citizens to vacate a stretch of road adjoining their properties.
The piece of road in question is the end of Silver Peak Road east of its intersection with Jason Lane. The stretch dead-ends at the petitioning property owners’ lots.
The council had addressed the matter at its October meeting, but tabled the issue. On Nov. 18 the council approved the road vacation, requiring both landowners to split the vacated land. It passed on a 4-1 vote, with council member Steve Roe opposed.
